Great group of folks on this trip. Beautiful day. The conditions were excellent - the best I've see for Lake Jocassee lately. we dove 32%mix and all dives were to about 100'. We had at least 18- 20' vis in the shallows, 40'+ at depth. We began with the shore dive on the boat ramp (bones family, ski boat, airplane wing, the trees (saw several cats sitting on tree limbs- they were not bothered by us at all). Then it was on to the 50 wall (large school of sunfish) and then up to the boulders for the safety stop - huge bass, several more cats, crappie etc. 81 min dive. We dropped off tanks and had lunch. The Market - great food with outdoor shaded dining. I recommend the cranberry, pecan chicken salad on the crossant. By the time we returned we were told that Bill was back in a little early (Bill - "Off the Wall Dive Charters" - best on Jocassee) and that we could go directly to the boat. We dove the wall/junk/other stuff for the first dive. You could see the entire Junk at once and you could see the edge of the wall standing on the back of the junk. Wall was great. Second dive was Crackin's Beach. This was an awesome dive - great vis and many trophy size bass, sometimes several at once). The bass were not intimidated by us and would let us get within a foot or two. There was one bass that was as big as my leg. Saw several cats and other fish as well. Bottom time was 60 min each dive. Great day of diving with good friends! Gosh, is this fresh water diving?
