I have a JVC HD-7 camcorder and am looking for the housing and saw that it was just discontinued. Are there any more of these around that me or my LDS can purchase? Will Ikelite do a make to order?

It looks like Helix has one. You could probably pick it up.

We have no remaining inventory—new, demo, blemished or otherwise— of any housing listed as discontinued on our website. Some dealers, like Helix as diversteve referenced, may have remaining inventory. Usually the easiest way to find a discontinued housing is to do a Google search for the Ikelite product number.

Once a housing is discontinued we continue to repair and service it for many years to come. However we do not do any future production runs or one-offs.

I tried calling a few people including B&H and Helix with no luck. Would you know who bought out the discontinued stock and maybe I would be able to contact them to buy one?

I think B & H Photo would have been your best bet at finding one. You may also try calling Adorama in New York.

I'm having the hardest time trying to find one of these housings. Everyone states they place the order for the housings after a deposit has been made and don't stock them.

If you've made the rounds - B&H, Adorama, Marine Visions, Reef Photo/Video, Backscatter and H2OPhotopros then I think you're out of luck. Scubatoys sells them also but don't list the specific models they have in stock on their website.
