While watching the news just now they had a report about 4 recent deaths during football training. Also they had a teaser about the recent spate of shark attacks. So far the football training is more deadly than shark attacks.

Now I have to preach for a moment

Folks-- adequate hydration is critical to human survival. Regardless of activity you must maintain hydration when you are outdoors. Keep in mind that most of us are not acclimated to the heat outdoors and are not as aware of water needs as we should be. Be careful out there. Drink lots of water. Learn the symptoms of heat exhaustion and how to prevent it so you don't have heatstroke.

I'm done preaching now

The importance of WATER and the dangers of
carbonated drinks.

1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.

2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so
weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

3. Even mild dehydration will slow down one's
metabolism as much as 3%.

4. One glass of water will shut down midnight
hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters
studied in a U-Washington study.

5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime
fatigue.

6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses
of water a day could significantly ease back and
joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy
short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and
difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on
a printed page.

8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the
risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the
risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less
likely to develop bladder cancer.

Carbinated drinks

1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol
carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove
blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and
it will be gone in two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into
the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for
one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke
removes stains from vitreous China.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:
Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds
Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals:
Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to
bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked
in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola
into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil,
and bake.

Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove
the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the
Coke for a scrumptious brown gravy.

8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of
coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent,
and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola
will help loosen grease stains. It will also
clean road haze from your windshield.

1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric
acid.
Its pH is 2.8.
It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days.
Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and

is a major contributor to the increase in
osteoporosis.

Cancer cells thrive in an acidic environment.
Cancer cells cannot exist in an alkaline
environment.

2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the
commercial truck must use the Hazardous material
place cards reserved for Highly corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to
clean the engines of their trucks for about 20
years!

Now the question is, would you like a glass of water
or a coke?

Health is a matter choice!

Good health is a matter of knowing and choosing.
Good health is impossible without taking whole food
supplementation.

Want proof?
People do not improve when they have no other but
their own knowledge upon which to base decisions.
Arrogance should not be an excuse for poor health.

Which is more important: health or wealth?
In 1956 Howard Hughes said he would give all his
wealth for good health.

92% of all sickness and disease is the result of
long term mineral deficiency.

Why do 67% of Americans wait until their health is
beyond repair before they become concerned about
their health. Because we have been told no pain,
no problem.

You choose:
prevention or treatment survive or thrive
good health or aches, pain, disease, colds,
premature death.

Just thought I'd add another 2 cents.

64.32% of people know that 86.59% of statisics are irelavent. :loopy:

and I'm glad I drink 14 good healthy cups of coffee a day

Large Diver...LoL
Lake,
Hope you're kidding. 14 is a bit too much, don't you think?
:sunny:

Maybe we would be better off if they went back to the REAL original recipe, as invented by Dr. Whats-His-Name. It was so loaded with the REAL THING, cocaine, people were getting addicted to it, so he had to change the recipe. BTW, do you have stock in Pepsi?

There goes that...

"COKE: it does a body good" campaign I was working on...

I hope you don't have a problem with peas... I've got a great one for them...

"All we are saying....
Is give peas a chance!"

:tease:

Please remember...

If you live, please drink,

and if you drink, please live!

when I first saw this thread title, I thought, someone wants to know about the popularity of the ice hockey (San Jose Sharks) to football? But really, it's a Coke vs Pepsi thread. Silly me.
