Yeah, I saw that on television. I can't imagine how they can trust what random divers "count"..but I think it would be cool to help! I wonder who would be allowed to do this..
 
Visit reefcheck.org to see what you can do to get trained as a volunteer. There are training facilities all over the place, including one in Ft. Lauderdale (for you, NJ to FLA). If there's no center near you, fear not: they're located worldwide, so there may be a way to count critters during your next vacation.
 
oh wow. thank you! That would be very fun. I have a feeling I will be changing from nursing to marine biology. (After 4 years of college in nursing I don't know if my parents will be happyyyy)
