On a dive today I found a Sherwood 3000 first stage, a Sherwood second stage (don't know the model) and a pressure guage. The reg is in pristine condition (the dust cap on the first stage was on), so it could not have been in the water very long. The first stage is pretty massive and a really interesting design. I'm usually a Scubapro guy, but this reg is very cool and I want to dive with it. Any idea when the 3000 was on the market? It looks like an older design.

A 3000 Series 1st Stage is close to 20 years old. The 5000 Series 1st stage was introduced in the early 90's. It was a great, easy to service, 1st stage. It just became outdated and too big for the market.
