Pickpockets at Mega & San Francisco

I'm generally not an alarmist but I know many of you go to the supermarkets & thought you should be aware of this recent development. Within the last week, several wallets have been taken from purses and pockets. In one instance, a wallet was taken from a pocket secured by velcro and the victim can't figure out how it was done. Details are sketchy -- I don't know if the criminals are using diversions in the aisles or simply removing wallets while people wait on meat, deli, bakery, or checkout lines. Someone reported that the thieves are girls between 6 and 8 years old.

I'm sure that store employees and police are working to stop the crimes but your vigilance is required until these people are caught.

Wow...sorry to hear that. I visisted both Megas on Cozumel and Playa. (I like the one on Cozumel a lot better). Little disheartening to hear the young ones being taught so early.

I enjoyed shopping at the MEGA. I am sure the store will nip that in the bud right away.
