I will be diving tomorrow with a 3 mil, shorty, and hood. I would prefer one piece suit with hood, however this is what I have available. Am in process of ordering 5 mil to fill the gap between my 3 and 7 suits.

I thought the same. It is a regular wet suit with hood and boots.

it's actually a 3 piece set (suit, booties and hood)

I would rather see the hood and vest (shorty) combined as one item like Bare does. This way it does a better job at closing off the neck opening and it's easier to don.

That's not what the link is. The booties and gloves aren't included in the "3 piece", the hood is. So by 3 piece they mean:
1. 5 mm regular suit
2. 5 mm shorty (I guess to go over the full suit)
3. hood

I guess it might be okay depending on where you're diving. If it's true cold-water, I'd want more thn 10/5 combined though.

Last time I wore a 3 piece wet suit was diving at Club Med. It was boots, hood and a condom. She was wearing one too...2 bandaids and a cork....figured :depressed:
