I have a Canon sx1is camera with a Ikelite house.
But I have a problem.
The wheel on the backsite of the camera and the button in the Ikelite house doesn't work fine.
It keeps slipping....
So it is hard (almost inpossible)to set the diaphragm and the shutterspeed.
The reseller has allready send the house back to Ikelite for repair but that didn't solve the problem..
The reseller is working hard to find a solution, but a good working sollution is not easy in this case.
We cann't get enough friction between these two things.
When we aply to much presure on the wheel we get the settings for ISO and that is not what I want.

Is there anybody who have the same problem and has solved the problem??

Sorry for the bad English but I hope that I am clear enough.
Otherwise ask if you need more info.

Make sure the tripod socket under the camera is not loose. If it is tight, I think the problem arises because the wheel or button is probably located in the upper part of the camera, and when you push or turn it, the camera tends to move forward.

You can try putting an eraser inside the housing front against which the camera can flush against when you push the button or turn the wheel. Just make sure the thickness of the eraser is just right.

I put a couple of pics in this message.

Backside camera.jpg shows the backside of the camera look for the red circle.
In wheel in the red circle has a couple of funtions.
When you turn the wheel you can set the diaphragm or shutterspeed. You can tilt the wheel to the north south east west side by pushing it, then you get other functions.

Backside house.jpg shows the UWhouse and the button who controls the wheel on the camera for turning this wheel. Look for the red circle.

Transmision.jpg shows the connetion between the wheel and the button on the UWhouse. At this moment, when you turn the button I have to push the button to get any friction to the camera wheel, but at the same moment it also tilts the wheel to the east.
So I get ISO settings.

So we have to find a way to make a good working connection between the wheel and the button so we can spin around the wheel on the camera.

The orginal parts of Ikelite don't do the trick..........:shakehead:

How long have you been using the housing? Maybe the foam on the knob has flattened through frequent use. I had a similar problem with my old 5050z, which I have since sold. How about adding felt paper or foam to ensure proper contact?

The house is less then 4 months old.
So still in guarantee.
And I tried already 20 dives for testing.
But so far no luck...

So I cann't try everything, otherwise I lose my guarantee.

The reseller has on this moment not quit an idea how to fix this problem.

I hope that Ikelite have any idea's how to fix this.

I expect that there are more people with this problem.
So if we fix this problem ....Ikelite has the bennefits...
