I've known April for many years from another forum I visit, and she's not given to asking for help. Her younger brother has a learning disability which makes it extremely difficult for him to find a job. He was given a bulldog puppy as a gift, and this dog has brought him a great deal of joy in life.

Stubby, however, has a birth defect that occurs in bulldogs in which the eyelids are inverted, bringing the lashes into contact with the eye. This causes the dog a great deal of discomfort, and if left untreated, can eventually rob the dog of his eyesight.

April is trying to raise the money for the surgery to correct Stubby's condition. They're getting close; as of this posting, they have $740 pledged of the $881 needed for the surgery. This doesn't cover all the costs of Stubby's treatment, but the surgery is the big chunk that they really need help with.

April says that any amount is appreciated, and no funds will be collected until the total needed is pledged. If you don't mind donating a bit to help, please visit her Fundable Page for the full story and the link for pledging. I trust April such that I've made my pledge; otherwise, I wouldn't pass it along.

Thanks for reading, and for any consideration you might give. I know April and her brother also appreciate it.
