Press Release for HOAX by Donna Calhoun
Youve embezzled over a million dollars and are facing jail. If you run theyll hunt you down. The only way to be sure to escape them is by killing yourself.
Maybe you could do both?
In Hoax, the second novel from Donna Calhoun, Keith Colvin seems to have everything in world the way he wants it. The successful, middle-aged businessman loves his kayaking adventures in Colorado, skiing in New England, and piloting his own plane wherever he wants to go. Keith was an ex-navy S.E.A.L. who loved to dive all over the world and supported his favorite charitable cause, Doctors Without Borders. He appeared to have it all
Until he disappeared one Sunday afternoon off Mount Washington, leaving a suicide note saying that he had gone in search of his Final Resting Place.
Keith Colvin left behind a string of indictments for embezzlement, and the U.S. Marshal Service gives his case to one of their finest agents, Michael Rodela. As Rodela unravels the tangled skein of Colvins life, he realizes this case is no longer a matter of quilt or innocence it is a matter of life and death.
Keith Colvin was the man who had everything to live for but gave it all up in an instant.
Or did he?
