I'm thinking about driving over to Mermet Springs on Labor Day weekend. How crowded is it likely to be? Probably drive over Saturday morning and get in a couple dives Saturday afternoon. Stay overnight in a hotel in Metropolis. Couple more dives Sunday early before driving home. Any tips for a first time visitor?
