Bay scallop season closes

The recreational harvest season for bay scallops closes on Sept. 11. This harvest closure helps the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission protect and conserve Florida’s bay scallop resources.
The harvest season for bay scallops will reopen next year on July 1 in designated areas along Florida’s Gulf Coast.
