Just saw they posted the Haunted Lagoon on their website! We went last year and found it to be MUCH better than the one in Waipahu at the Plantation Village (still feel a bit dissappointed about that one).

They offer special Kama'aina rates - plus a way to get an additional discount:

PCC website:
If you’re Kama’aina, pay careful attention to the following paragraph. However, if you’re visiting from out of state, see your travel agent or call 1-800-367-7060 for tickets.
Beware! Even if you’re Kama’aina or visiting the island, you’ll leave the Haunted Lagoon white as sheet. Here’s why:
The Lā'ie Lady, ghostly hostess of the Haunted Lagoon, is back – with a vengeance.

Something sinister happens at night in the pitch-black lagoon. Strange sounds echo in the villages. An eerie figure lurks in the shadows. It is her -- grief stricken and angry, searching for someone or something. And those who cross her path are subject to her ominous whims. Was she killed? Was she jilted? Is she gloomily searching for her lost child? No one knows. One thing is certain, she’s more distraught than ever.
Unfortunately, you’ll personally witness her wrath no matter which of the following two ticket options you select.
OPTION #1 – Haunted Lagoon Regular Pass includes:

  • Admission for one (adult or child)
  • 25-minute ride
  • Heart palpitations

We got there early, around 4PM and were on boat #7 or so - but the wait was still long as we had to wait till it got dark.

Also - they have "things" that jump out of the water - so you might get wet:cool2:

No way... this sounds cool as hell. I can't open the site here at work (unauthorized site) but will look at it later tonight. This will be something I will check out when I finally get on-island....

but a good reminder to get your Hawaii Drivers license when you come as proof that you are Kama'aina. It will save you on just about every event and admission ticket in the state :)

Aloha, Tim
