I'm travelling to Gainesville for a few days and have the Oct 21st free to go diving. I never dove in Florida but it seems Blue Grotto/Devil's Den are interesting and close to Gainesville.

I am AOW and dive almost every week here in the Puget Sound, 42F to 55F water with average of 15' viz. So diving in clear 72F water sounds very exciting

Anyone interested in diving on the 21st?

If you don't " hook up " with someone on this site, go on down there. There are always other divers there, who will let you be thier buddy.

Thanks for the tip. I might consider it, but because it is the only day I can dive and Florida is so far from the NW... I might have to go the tourist way and get a guide...

Still looking for a buddy or team for next week!

I've heard at some such cavern you cannot bring lights (so strobes/focus lights). Are those two sites ok to bring lights for non cavern-certified divers?

yes lights are allowed.

Well I guess I didn't find any buddy yet. Anyone? Unless I get a ping today I'm thinking going on a guided dive :depressed:

Anyone has feedback on birdsdivecenter or americanprodiving or any other?
