Looking for a recommendati. ons for a place to grab a few beers and some decent food tomorrow night (10/17)

Will be staying at Amy Slate's so something not terribly far from there would be great!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or recommendations!

I've been diving the Keys since the early 80's, and of the many restaurants I've eaten at throughout the years, two have never disappointed me for good seafood:

If you're looking for excellent food, and a spectacular view of the bay, especially at sunset, they Sundowners is the only way to go:

If the view is not that important to you, but you stil want to eat awesome seafood, then definitely head over to the Fish House:

The Fish House is at MM 102.4 and Sundowner's is at MM104, so either one is no more than 2 miles from Amy Slate's, which is between MM104 & 105.

I will second both of Adrians recommendations. If you go to the Fish House have the pan sauteed yellowtail, and a bowl of the conch chowder. Mmmmmmm

Fish house is a great place for dinner and beers I eat there every time I go to Key Largo

Fishhouse, Senor Frijoles/Sundowners...and even though it's not the old location...Hobo's is still my fave...

close by are the above mentioned fish house, hobo's, and also num-thai's(best sushi-asian food in the upper keys in my view!!) and the buzzards roost. try a before dinner drink and sunset views @ jimmy johnson's big chill, overlooking blackwater sound, just steps from where your staying,,,,,,,,,,,,

Buzzard's Roost - they have hogfish on the menu most of the time.

They are at the top of Key Largo, near Captain Slate's boats, just off Garden Cove Road.

HOBO'S is my favorite every time we are in Key Largo we eat there at least once.

Another vote for the Fish House! Pan seared ANYTHING kicks ass! (looking forward to eating there in the next two weeks!)
