DAN insurance

i have just recently read on another board about DAN SEAP not covering people ???

Well DAN SEAP claims that expats (i.e. mostly European and US citizens) have more dive accidents than national of Asia Pacific countries, and as the insurance premiums from DAN SEAP are cheaper than the US and European ones, they donot cover European and US expats anymore, and citizens of these countries should apply with DAN Europe or US.

The exception to this is when you have a permanent resident status in one of the Asia Pac countries - In this case you can still be covered by DAN SEAP (I know from personal experience).
