Hi Folks,

At the risk of sounding like the perverbial broken record, given Ikelite's track record and subsequent reputation, I just wanted to comment on my recent experience with sending my housing back for service and a bit of repair.

First, communication was great - they let me know they had my housing, then e-mailed me about the recent mods and asked if I'd like to include them, charged me a very fair price for both (service/repair and upgrades) and got it back to me in just about two weeks instead of the quoted three... and this is to Canada! All the while DEMA was going on!

If I had any misgivings about sending a housing back to the US, Ikelite has certainly alleviated them. Thanks Ikelite - amazing!

Did you send the gear to Ikelite yourself, or did you use a retailer?

I sent it myself by UPS Ground - it took a week to get there and cost $40. Worked out great.

Ikelite---WOW!
I just returned from a 10 day live aboard trip to Indonesia with a flooded Ikelite DS51 strobe. Fortunately I have flood insurance through DAN but unfortunately the deductible is $200. I sent the flooded strobe to Ikelite with a short note requesting an estimate for either repair or replacement. Lo and behold 2 weeks later my strobe is returned fully repaired with "No Charge" stamped on the packing list. Now that is CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Thanks Ikelite...you rock! Ken
