My husband and I are going out this weekend to brush up
on our diving skills before our trip to Cozumel.
We have been to Blue Springs (always seems crowded with dive shops), Hidden Paradise (wasn't a bad place), and to France Park
(didn't care for that much). Any other suggestions on where go that has somewhat good visibility and isn't too crowded around
the Indianapolis area?

Thanks!

Kudos for making the effort to do a tune-up before a major trip. Were you at Blue Springs late Sunday afternoon by chance? A couple arrived for a dive as we were packing up to leave.

During the summer good viz and no LDS crowds isn't going to be possible anywhere in Midwest unless you can get out on a weekday. We're planning to start mid-week night dives for same reasons.

No didn't make it this weekend. We are hoping the water
temp. might warm up a bit before we go. We only had shorties
to dive in. Need to invest in some full wetsuits, but that will have to wait for now. Will probably go in the next weekend or two.

Thanks for the response and happy diving!

The road at Blue Springs is at approximately 20 ft. It was quite nice there last Sunday. My readings put it at around 75 degrees. Off the road and just a few feet deeper, it does start to get chilly quickly. Around 30-35 feet, it gets cold. The road is easy to get to without going deep enough to get cold and big enough to practice on.
