I just have this housing NEW in hand, and playing it at home, but I can not closed the backplate as the manual describe!

"the gap between the housing back and the housing; the gap should be
even all the way around the housing
. Look through the clear plastic
back plate at the o-ring. You should see a darkened area where
the o-ring is compressed against the housing back plate."

I try many time and still can not get the gap look "Even"!:depressed:
I'm now afraid to bring it down to the water!

Is this normal?

I found the gap can not be even in all side, since the lid snaps are not giving balance pressure!

I think our instruction text regarding the gap could be misleading. There will be slightly more compression near the lidsnaps. This is normal. You should look for a clear, solid black o-ring seal which is clearly visible through the back of the housing.

Each housing is water pressure tested before leaving here. You can always take your housing to depth without a camera installed for the first dive for added confidence in the system!

We will work to improve the wording of our instructions!

Thank you so much!
I'm now more willing to dive with the housing!:D
Will test in the coming trip in Malapascua,
Should I lube the O ring every time before the dive?
or just lube it before storage?

Clean and lube the o-ring every time you open the housing.
