I will be in the Boca area over the weekend and would like to dive ]on Saturday. Any recommendations as to where I should dive, and maybe some recommended boats? I'm an AOW cert level diver with experience drift diving, wrecks, etc...

Thanks!

Joe

you should look at Jupiter dive center as they have a special going on for a 2 tank charter for $35. It starts on 12/6.

There are many great choices in our area, but when I have a day off I book with Sea Experience II out of Fort Lauderdale, or Underwater Explorers out of Boynton Beach. You may find operators who will go out for less cash, but I think these two are totally worth the money. I live here and I dive here.

I like Jupiter Dive Center a whole lot too, they rock, but they are just so darned far. Not as far for you, however, if you are in Boca.

Hello Joe,

I hope the weather is good for your visit. There are a ton of wrecks off Broward County, so if you like wrecks it is well worth a look. Both of these outfits run out of Hillsboro Inlet between Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale.

South Florida Diving Headquarters
Pompano Dive Center

Most operations do a wreck and a drift dive along the inside ledge of the third reef.

Underwater Explorers.....my vote.

Yup - agree 100% re Jupiter; if you are that close, you should not miss it- its even farther from Miami, but I get up there 4 - 6 times a month - the diving is that good

I know I'm in the minority (but I'm still right :D) on this board, but no comparison between Jupiter, Boynton vs FTL or Pompano

No question in my mind, the better reefs are just north of Boca in Boynton Beach.
And the operator of choice is UW Explorer.

Also, get your dives in on Saturday, the weather is expected to turn to crap on Sunday.

Right again on both counts.
