WoW, you can use that stuff to catch lobsters down there. The only thing we can use here are the tickle sticks. the rest is by hand, which can be tricky...

Ours are spiny lobster here in FL. Legal snares or loopers as they are also called don't harm the bug, even less than a net.

Different laws for different areas and catch.

Guessing yours are as pictured Maine lobster.
