If you need to see one in stock, I'm not sure. I know I ordered a PST E-Series without any problem from my LDS in Kitchener. (E7-100, nice tank BTW). If I wanted an E8, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem - I think the turnaround time on my tank was 3 business days.

From what I understand the E8 series don't have the TC rating yet so you won't be able to get them in Canada,,,,yet. I hear they are working on it. The E7 tanks have the TC stamp.

As far as I know, Trasport Canada are dragging their backsides and have yet to complete the necessary "paperwork" to stamp the tanks for use by Canadians in Canada. SO the answer to your question is nowhere. I have a set on order from Dan Humble in Mallorytown... but am still waiting

What is the difference between the E7, E8 and E9 series???
I visited Pressed Steel website and did'nt see any information about the "E" series tanks.
They advertise a sport series and pro series.
One is high pressure and the other low pressure.

Here's some info from Lloyd Bailey's site

E-Series Tanks

The E-Series tanks will be replacing PST's AquaAire Pro LP series and the AquaAire Sport HP series with the exception of the LP-80's and LP-45's, but pricing changes will take effect by the end of February on LP-80's.

All E-series cylinders will have an operating pressure of 3442 psi (230 bar). The cylinders will have 3/4-14 NPSM. The cylinders specification will be PST 's exclusive exemption, E-9791 and all E-Series will be hot dip galvanized. All cylinders are oxygen cleaned according to CGA G-4.1 from the factory.

How does the new E7-Series compare to the HP series?
The length of the E-Series will be about 1/8 longer than the HP series. The weight, diameter and buoyancy will remain the same. The new improvements are the NRX valve (Nitrox Ready combination Yoke/DIN valve), the new service pressure of 3442 psi, the new bigger standard sized threads for more valve and manifold options.

How does the new E8-Series compare to the LP series?
The 3AA specification, which is a 50+ year old specification, will be replaced with the E-9791 specification. The length, and diameter will remain the same. The tare weight will be reduced by two pounds and the buoyancy will move closer to neutral but will remain negative when empty for even better buoyancy characteristics. The LP-95 will be replaced by the E8-119. The LP-104 will be replaced by the E8-130. Plus ratings are no longer needed.

The E7-80, E7-100, E7-120, E8-119 are now shipping.

The E7-65 shipping mid June.

The E8-130 and the E8-149 will be shipping Late May .

The E8-149 shipping later in 2003.

Dates above are the availibility dates that PST will start shipping to dive shops. They have encountered back orders so the actual delivery dates to you will vary based on where PST is on their backorders.
