We are a bunch of divers from Montreal Cananda and are looking for new spots to dive within a 6 hour driving distance. Anybody know about some secluded or new diving sites??

Most Montreal divers head over to the Thousand Islands in Ontario to dive the wrecks in the St. Lawrence. Other popular spots include Kingston and Picton in Lake Ontario, Morrisson's Quarry in the Ottawa region as well as the Charlevoix region (Les Escoumins) and the Gaspe Peninsula.

Of course, there's the famous Empress of Ireland in Rimouski if you're a tech diver.

I used to dive in Lake Champlain a lot, try Waterfront diving in Burlington, VT, they should be able to hook you up with something

800-283-7282

Lots of wrecks and history,

also do a search under Lake George, NY, has the oldest intact wreck in North America.

Our Club drives from Hamilton Ontario to do Les Escoumins. Excellent diving. If you are looking for accommodations try www.essipit.com The best condos in the area and right on the water. Les Escoumins unfortunately was closed this past summer for renovations. I believe it will be fine for next year.

If you are looking for the same type of marine life as Les Escoumins, but larger and more abundant try www.divesafaricanada.com
