I am looking for a tool kit to carry around with me in my scuba bag. I would like some input from divers who have carried one around for a while. What are some suggestions? I would like a kit that is not going to rust and bleed all over my other scuba gear, and have the tools I might need.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

I don't do any real serious regulator repairs in the field if I can avoid it. So for access only as far as hose end o-rings, I carry a scuba multi tool, and adjustable wrench, a set of soft jawed pliers for those damn Scubapro fittings, an extra port plug allen wrench, and a double hook pick. The straight point pick on the multi tool is not enough to get at many o-rings. The multi tool will work for minor adjustments on most 2nd stages.

I started a list and got a fair amount of suggestions that you can pick and choose from depending on where you draw the line of overkill....

I made a kit using an Akona Weight Bag which is a nice size, opens wide, and doesn't rust. The carry handles are actually stitched completely around the bottom of the bag to support the weight which makes it extremely strong.
Aside from the tools you will need to tighten fittings and hoses for your reg, you will find yourself adding items based on your experiences and breakdowns.

Lots of good threads about the content here on SB already. But 3 suggestions: 1) I pack my kit in a waterproof box - and 2) Santa brought me one of these:

XS Scuba Scuba Multi Tool - Dive Right In Scuba - Plainfield, IL

and it seems solid and have a bunch of very Scuba specific tools that could come in handy.

and 3) one of the DSS inflator service tools:

I also carry a variety of sizes in fixed wrenches, allen keys and adjustable, a small Leatherman tool, a variety of spare o-rings, grease, cave line, bungee, rubber bands, o-ring picks etc.
