Is there any shop around that specializes in DPV's in this area. I'm not looking to buy one, just possibly to try it. I'd need to find out the amount of training involved and of course the cost.

Anyone with any info?

I know MDS down state a bit rents them. Ya might be able to arrange a meet at Haigh or Pearl.

Whats the matter? The swim to the hole at Pearl a little to far, or do you just want to cruise around all the classes?
If you get one can I get a ride????

where is MDS located? Is MDS short for something?

Crazy Dave- I love really long surface swims but, I just thought the things looked fun and I wanted to try one sometime.
(When do you go to Gilboa?)

MDS definitely rents them. My fiance and I got a DPV PADI speacialty cert. last summer. They are pretty fun, but not that useful for open water diving. I could definitely see the use if you were using it to get deep into a cave or to get around a deep wreck.

Just my $.02

Why go down state? Below H2o on Ogden Ave past Route 59 rents them. Give Dave a call.

thanks Scubajim1, I don't frequent them alot, as they are a bit of a drive for me, but I've been in their shop a couple of times. Nice store.

Thanks,

Juls

I figured someplace closer would have them but didn't know for sure. You might want to give Underwater safaris a call as well and ask them. They are on Lincoln Ave.

When you said "down state a bit" I assumed you meant down State Street....! :) Needless to say my surprise when I find their outside Bloomington.....!
