Can anyone tell me how many SCUBA divers are registered in Australia?

The percentage of divers that actually dive to the ones that have a cert card collecting dust should be around 10-15%

I don't know of an easy way to find out that info, contact the major cert. agencys and ask, I would think would be the the simplest route.

Yeah it has been a bit of a struggle. NAUI are very secretive about their figures and PADI only gie international percentages, and Australia is lumped in the Asia Pacific region.

And the Australian Bureau of Statistics want money for the answer....

IF you need close to exact figures, that may be tough, but if an extrapolation will do, I may be able to find out reasonably accurate info for you.
