Nick,
I am a resuce diver located in Oregon who trains on the Oregon coast near Astoria. As you can imagine our surf and current is significant. I am considering purchasing your F1 fins next week and would like to know if you would recommend the F1's for big surf strong current? I like everything I've read about your fins but have not heard from anyone who spends much time on top of the water. I hope I am not asking a question that people have asked 1000 times. Thank you for your time.

Hi Divenetman,

Thanks for your questions.

The biggest advantage of the F1 is the thrust which is associated directly with its heavy duty material and rigid construction. This combined with being slightly negative could be seen as favorable in your circumstances spending much of your time surface swimming. Although for some it could also be seen as unfavorable depending on their kicking styles or fin preference. Bottom line there are several fins out there which will work great for this application such as the F1's. My suggestion: try a pair out!
