large_diver July 15th, 2003, 04:06 PM For those looking to add to their stockpile of Halcyon gear.....the new Halcyon SPG..... http://www.extreme-exposure.com/acc/halc-hosekits.shtml blackice July 16th, 2003, 12:35 AM arrr... ... and only days after I order and recieved a OMS guage. Not to worry .. they look the same ... but the OMS has a smaller logo. .... so it actually is better, ... less to distract me from the numbers. And I think the heavy-duty brass housing is about the same, the strong glass also is about the same .... so I guess I like to have Halcyon gear if it makes sense .. . . but I seem to see that Halcyon is not that good with the layout of their logos. Maybe they need to go back to the idea that they preach .. less is more .. don't do it if you don't need it.... If they are slapping this branding on as an after thought .. let me know .. I'd be more than happy to donate my time to layout out their design / image presentation. just my 2cents worth.... Scubaroo July 16th, 2003, 01:21 AM I thought they'd figured out some clever way of incorporating an N2 loading graph with the SPG - then I realised it was a bigass H on the gauge. For those looking to add to their stockpile of Halcyon gear.....the new Halcyon SPG..... http://www.extreme-exposure.com/acc/halc-hosekits.shtml Did Halcyon have anything to do with the design or manufacture other than specifying a big "H" logo? DIR Tec Diver July 21st, 2003, 04:55 AM I spoke with them last Friday, and they told me that it is made to their specifications and according to their expectations of accuracy, durability and longevity to be exact. I ordered quite a few JeffAustin July 21st, 2003, 03:55 PM I saw one. It is noticably smaller than the std. Scubapro/Diverite brass and glass gauge. It has a nice polished chrome finish with no knurling around the outside edge. ElectricZombie July 21st, 2003, 06:07 PM Looks like a nice gauge. I would rather not have anything written on them at all but, they all do. ScubaPro has a mini brass gauge that I have seen a lot of DIR divers use. It's nice and small but still readable. About the same cost as a Halcyon. WaterDawg July 22nd, 2003, 07:46 AM Cant wait for others to put down other SPG's saying their "unsafe" or something. I actually like it, but its a bit too busy, ScubaPro Mini has my vote.
