My fiance and I did a resort dive in Cancun last year and loved it. We're about to complete our OW Certifications and are looking to do a short diving trip (4 nights) to warm water in April. We are thinking Florida or somewhere in the Caribbean and want to spend about $1500 total for air and hotel for 2 people.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

The upper Florida Keys. Without a doubt. That's the first place I went when I was certified in a cold, dark quarry 30 years ago and I still love the Keys.

Contact speargirl here for a GREAT room rate in Key Largo.

I will second Debbiedivers suggestion. Key Largo-Warm water, excellent reefs and wrecks, lots of dive shops. And it is cheap compared to going to Mexico or the Caribbean.

Contact Speargirl on SB. She is the local guru of Key Largo. She has arranged a few things for us and we had Zero issues.

Thanks I sent her an email! We are so excited!

I totally agree with Key Largo. You will have a great time and the Upper Keys is a perfect place to begin diving after your OW certification. Invest in a decent underwater camera like the Sea Life DC1000 ($480) so you can capture your trip above and below water. Congrats on your OW certs and hope you have many years of incredible dives together.

No one should have to take a home loan to go on a vacation, and thats why I do what I do :D I am always making plans and cutting deals with people here in the Keys.
Give me a call and I will try and help you find what you are looking for.:D

Speargirl, I am going to call you tomorrow. It's been tough because by the time I get a free minute in my day it's already late over there!
