Gary Gentile to Speak at CWD’s Annual Banquet in Los Angeles March 6

Gary Gentile, wreck diver and author of over 52 books, photographer of over 3,000 published photographs and discoverer of more than 40 shipwrecks will speak at the California Wreck Divers’ Annual Banquet Saturday, March 6th, 2010. Gary will share his research and diving on the infamous Lusitania. Known by some as the "Lucy," the Lusitania was sunk on May 7, 1915 with the loss of nearly 1,200 men, women and children. Its sinking off the coast of Ireland was instrumental in bringing the United States into World War I. Visited by a lucky few, the Lucy lies in 330' of water.
