I've just heard from a friend that added the 50# oxycheq wings with a ss bp and harness to his inspiration. He said it fit like a glove. Anyone know anyone else with this setup....

Hello,

I just put an oxycheq 50# with harness and bp on my inspiration. Great fit and greatly improved boyancy. Highly recommended. If you decide on one get about 6 or 8 inches added to the inflator hose, call patrick I'm sure he would be glad to add it for you...

I was thinking of doing that to mine. However, does it really reduce the bulk? It seems to me that the "bulk" of the Inspiration that is so different than my OC BP and wings setup comes from having to have counter-lungs and the removeable lumbar pad if you leave it in place ... not from the included harness. Any thoughts?

Hi PW

In my opinion yes. The wing will expell all air on deflate, the harness has one buckle, and overall the fit is much better. Also having the wing actually wider than the unit allows the wing to do its job more effectively. Also is much ore stable and comfortable. I am not selling anything here so cant give the best possible combination(there may be other wings that are better) but I am very happy with this setup.

Anthony, and Patrick,

When I went to the extended-range case on my Inspiration, I put my original Dive-Rite dual-bladder wing and stainless backplate on it. I left the original harness on since I didn't want to faff around with making a tie-down set-up for the lungs. It doesn't seem all that bulky, but of course, with the FFM, comm gear, and VR-3, bulk is sort of a relative thing!

I recently got an OMS backplate and dual-bladder wing set up, with the deluxe harness. I really like having dual shoulder releases when I'm getting out of all that gear! I'll report on whether I like it better than the factory harness.;)
