Divers have long used the Victoria Day weekend as a marker to the "start' of the diving season here in NB. When I started diving, I was invited out by a group to Deer Island that had made it their tradition for years. Many of us keep up the tradition as an excuse (like we need one!!) to spend a few days on a beautiful island.. experiencing the warming water temps, usually fair weather.. and sometimes the odd wind/rain storm thrown in just to give it some challenge 
This year is no different! The plan is to spend a a few days diving the campground area, a chance to dive some of the other areas such as Casco Bay Island, a BBQ, and more than likely a good campfire to share stories around. Some of us are bringing kayaks for the time between dives, and something new.. some are bringing their GPS to check out the local geocaching!
Most divers will start arriving Sat morning, May 22. We'll dive the day and have a BBQ planned for 4pm. An evening night dive is possible for those interested! Sun is a full day of diving, and Mon as well. There will be some camping, and others staying at local lodging such as Sunset Beach Cottage & Suites.
We will be there for most of the dives listed below and Hosting the BBQ. We will do our best to help those new to the area, or diving alone to find a buddy.. just let us know if you would like help with that! While most of the dives are considered Advanced due to the challenging conditions of the Bay of Fundy, some are fine for capable OW divers partnered with a buddy experienced with the area. Groups coming in through clubs, etc. should ensure they have an experienced local diver leading their dives!

Sat (May 22) 12:45 "Short" Drift; 1:45 Low Slack (Point), 4PM BBQ!, 8PM High Slack (Night Dive off the Point)
Sun (May 23) 8:20am High Slack (Point), 1:45 "Short" Drift, 2:45 Low Slack (Point or Customs/Cancat), - 8:50pm High Slack (Night Dive off the Point)
Mon (May 24) 9:20 am High Slack (Point), 2:40 "Short" Drift, 3:40 Low Slack (Point or Customs/Cancat)
