This equipment has only seen use a couple of times. I bought it as part
of a larger lot, from someone who was getting into underwater photography,
but they have since quit diving.

All looks factory new (as it should, since barely used), and fully functional.
No dings or scratches, not even small cosmetic ones. All in original boxes.

1. Sea and Sea DX-8000G 8.24MP camera and housing, zoom 28mm-85mm.
Automatic and manual shooting modes. Camera can also be used on the surface
without the housing. Macro focus range down to 1 cm from lens.

Here are some DX-8000G photos, taken by someone else here on SB:

Sea and Sea 52110 wide angle 0.6X wet lens, and caddy for holding
wide angle lens to a strobe arm when you aren't shooting wide. Lens
can be attached and removed underwater in a matter of seconds -- just
twist 90 degrees to mount/dismount. You can also use the wide lens on
the surface (17mm equivalent), but the camera would have to be in the housing.

The housing has built in ports for fiber optic sync cords for strobes, so
no other mods to use an external strobe, just plug in the cable. Or just
use the internal camera flash for minimalist photography dives.

Camera/housing/charger/2 batteries/software/usb cable/av cable/spare o-ring/
500MEG flash card/wide angle lens/lens caps/lens caddy.

$500 for camera/housing/accessories; $675 including wide angle lens/caddy.

2. Sea and Sea YS-90 Auto strobe. No evidence that it has ever been
in the water. This strobe can be used with the included fiber optic sync
cord and the above camera/housing. It can also be used with an electric
sync cable and some other housing that has such a connector.

$250 strobe with diffuser, fiber optic sync cord, ring for attaching sync to strobe,
spare o-rings, manual. Second fiber optic sync cord also available, $40.

Paypal would probably be easiest, or cash if you are in the San Jose area.
Shipping will be at cost, however buyer wants it shipped.

I checked the shutter lag for the camera .10. Not bad, but I was looking for something a bit faster... Thanks for the response though

Is your camera still available?

Yes, I still have it. If I still have it a week or two from now, I'll keep it for another month and take it on a trip.

I've shot about 100 surface shots in my house, mostly to verify how the YS90 Auto strobe operates. The strobe has 12 f-stop levels of output, which determine 12 maximum output levels. If the subject is close by, and reflects more light, the strobe sensor will terminate the flash early to keep the exposure correct. The undocumented feature of the Auto is that, if you cover up the sensor, it then operates like the cheaper YS90DX, with 12 manual levels of output. So, you can either use the Auto feature (set f-stop to match that of the camera, and reflected light sensor terminates flash as appropriate), or cover the sensor and have manual control of the strobe output.

If you will sell the WA lens separately, please let me know. I live in Santa Clara, so I could pick it up ... no shipping required.

UPDATE:

My wife wants to use the DX-8000G on a trip in May, so it is no longer available for sale.

The YS-90 Auto strobe is still available.

Okay, back from Bonaire, and the camera/strobe are back up for sale. The wife wants to move to shooting HD video, and I have another setup for me.

The camera was used in Bonaire on about 8 dives, and the strobe on maybe 4. I personally only used it once, on a night dive. All worked great.

There is now a slight cosmetic scratch on the housing, but nothing much. No leaks at all, everything is functionally perfect. The bayonet mount made the wide angle lens easy to put on/off underwater.

Hi,

I was going through the classifieds and saw your posting. Is the camera/strobe still available?

Thanks,

Hank
