I've seen a lot of threads where folks make video camera housings using PVC and other assorted plastics.

Has anyone taken an old tank that maybe hasn't passed hydro and cut the ends off and use that as the body of the housing?

If you did it with steel would it be negative? How about with AL?

More or less just curious.

I like the handle they did!

I'm going to call around the shops and see if I can't find an old AL tank. I'm guessing if it didn't pass hydro, that it may be fine for this purpose.

I can weld steel, but not AL. That is a bummer.
