Has anyone been diving in Corsica? Can you recommend any good diving schools (perhaps around Porto?).
What is the diving like in Corsica?

We have been diving in Corcega many times, If you want to see some pictures please go to our web site www.oceansub.com in the part that says Corcega.
About the diving Center I have allways been in Atoll diving Center, is located in Bonifacio http://atoll-diving.com

I recently went diving at Iles Lavezzi with Club de Plongee Barakouda in Bonifacio. I thought it was great. It was about 26 meters deep, water temp was about 22 degrees C, and visibility was, well, you could see the bottom from the surface. There was a lot of interesting life to see, and no currents to speak of. The club was well organized and friendly. The rental gear was not new, but it all seemed to be in good shape. The picture of me on the left is on their boat. I understand that they put the big boat away in the winter, but can still arrange trips with a smaller boat. I guess the conditions get more difficult in the winter, or so I hear. Club de Plongee Barakouda is not a shop that sells gear; they arrange boat trips, rent gear, and do instruction. I think they have instructors for several different agencies.

I agree with Gemma and Josep about the Atoll Diving Center at Bonifacio. They are very kind and very professional.
If you're around Calvi, go with the EPIC center. They are the more professional of all the diving centers in Calvi (they offer also Trimix, Nitrox, technical diving). The main instructor, Olaf, is a great chap.

In any case, the south is, IMHO, much better then the north of Corsica. The water is clearer, bigger fishes, more colours, even the landscape is more impressive (at least around Bonifacio).
Hope it helps!
