Well, I finally got to pull off a last minute dive trip to Gilboa quarry a couple weeks ago. My dive buddy and I have never been there and we have talked about going since we got certified last year. We camped out onsite for the weekend and only got to do about 4 dives over the two days, but it was a lot of fun.

That place can get a little crowded for my tastes, but if you time your dives right, you can have some of the sites almost to yourself. I also noted that there arent too many divers that get into the 60ft end of the shallow area so that made for some leisurely dives sticking around there. The underwater artifacts are pretty cool and the abundance of BIG fish was just the icing on the cake.

This was the first opportunity I had to use my digital camera and U/W housing, so I took a bunch of pictures. The colors are a tad off, so I still need to play around with the settings and maybe get a filter or something. As always, suggestions are always welcome.

Heres a picture of my dive buddy Dave at the end of one of the tubes in the 60ft area.

This picture was neat.. the light coming through the surface of the water had a neat effect. One of those 'Cool!... snap and shoot' photos...:out:

I think he just went fully negative and stood there wondering what the heck I was doing taking so long to get through that tube.... We both have (and practice) good bouyancy skills, plus the bottom at this site was rocky and there was nothing to churn up... If that is what you are referring to, if not, fill me in on the joke too :D
