Could anyone confirm that the Suunto(s) - Vyper, Vyper2, vyper Air, vytec - do NOT display average depth when used in Gauge Mode / bottom timer ?

Seems if you'd like this function, only option are the uwatec ?

Any good / bad feedback about the suunto in Gauge mode still ?

Thanks !

I use either/both a Vyper and a Vytec for all my recreational and "technical" dives in gauge mode. It's an excellent gauge, but it doesn't show a live average depth (you can get this on download). That doesn't bother me at all. I calculate the average depth on my own. These Suunto "computers" have the following nice features:

-Small puck
-Large text
-Wrist mount
-Fit in DSS bungee mounts
-Downloadable
-Backlight (though I never use this)
-Robust (I've never had an issue with any of the ones I own)
-User-replaceable battery
-Cheap (if bought used, otherwise, still a fair price)
-Re-settable seconds timer (Vytec only)
