I wasn't set on one day or another, just wanted to get in the water. Let me check with everyone.

Unfortunately, I as still in SKI mode.. going skiing this weekend! :rofl3:

Have fun guys, and make sure to do a trip report so we know if Aurora has 15 or 5 feet of vis!

At this point, I think Tino and I are diving EARLY (7-8am) on Sunday. I just found out that I have to fly on Monday at 10am... so need to be out of the water by then on Sunday.

I've not dove locally, but I've got 50 dives in salt water. I was hoping to get some drills in with my new dry suit.
I can't do a Sunday dive as I have a 0415 flight on Monday, and I want 24 hrs to be safe.
If you are willing to accept an unknown single I'd be game, but I'd need to get lead and air this evening.
Thanks

I could possibly dive both days - Mortis, send me a PM with your digits. I have 2 full single tanks (I'll be diving doubles), and enough lead to sink a ship.

There will be three or four of us coming on Sunday. I'll be diving doubles as well, I have a 3 or 4 aluminium 80's I can bring along for someone.

Well, we had the pleasure of being the first divers of the 2010 season. The rangers were very interested in us and the conditions, but they were polite and professional.

Dive report: Colorado diving at its most typical. Cold and murky. I would say vis was 6' and the temps were 46 deg at the plane.

The crawdads were still sleeping and I didn't see a fish.

Lots of organic crud at the bottom... very very silty.

Give this site a month to settle if you ask me.

:)

Well, just to add to BigBubbaJ's dive report, I'll say that in spite of wind (fair bit), current (little), and a stuck inflater valve (mine) we had a good chilly 23 minutes of bottom time, with 4-6' vis.

I will say that I learned a number of things diving with J, the most important of which is, don't be afraid to learn how to field strip your gear.

I don't know much about local lakes, but this one needs to settle.

Thanks

Mortis.

It has been windy of late, and that is likely the root of your poor vis. I've done Aurora this time of year, and had 15' of vis, so I blame Bubba.. I mean the wind!
