i know this is too simple but i really don't have any idea, how do you use the snorkel keeper of a "j" type snorkel? i mean how is it attached to the mask?

The snorkel goes through one ring of the snorkel keeper. The other ring is passed behind the left side of the mask strap from bottom to top. The snorkel then goes through that ring of the snorkel keeper. You should have a loop attached at each end to the snorkel. The mask strap is through the loop. At that point, slide the snorkel through the snorkel keeper to adjust the height and placement of the snorkel .

Walter's post describes it well. So I erased mine.
