Does anyone have an opinion (-OR KNOW THE DIFFERENCE-)
between the Mares Raptor fins and the Oceanic V-12/16 fins?

I prefer Oceanic equipment, yet there is a HUGE cost difference.

I am scheduled to dive in healthy current and want to have an additional
(second) set of fins to compliment my current use Mares Volo fins.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

So, by the looks of the "popcorn", you feel that split fins don't get you anything but a hassle/silt?
Really looking forward to your reply................and thanks!

Well, what I'm referring to is that it's one of the popular recurring 'discussions' (to put it politely) here on scubaboard... splits vs paddles, specifically with relevance to their effectiveness in current

Let's just say that it's a topic guaranteed to polarise opinions

Anyway, back to your original question... IMO best thing to do would be to try some different fins where you're going if possible, and see what works for you and your finning style
