Cozumel Hotel Dive Shop?

I'm booking a trip for Coz and wondered about the hotels w/ dive shops. Via FunJet, I online see one or two that have dive shops. I thought it would make for an easier trip if there was a shop close by. Any suggestions or feedback?

you really need to spend some time here reading on the board..... lots and lots of information on dive shops, hotels, where they are located.

I have used funjet many times...I would always book my hotel and airfare through them but I book my diving though my dive op....you have freedom to choose on Cozumel from many dive ops on the island...you do not have to be locked in to the in house dive op.

Most of the waterfront hotels south of town have dive shops.

Jillian, contact Bay Adventures out of Florida. If you go to their web site, you will see lots of Hotel/Scuba packages and several with Hotel Cozumel and Dive Paradise. Hotel Cozumel's on-site dive operation is Dive Paradise. You can book with whatever dive op you want, but if you are going to be staying at Hotel Cozumel (or any other hotel) it is more affordable to book your hotel and scuba as a package or ask the dive op you are looking at for a package deal.

As far as which dive shop, you'll have many choices regardless of where you stay. Have a great trip. :pilot:
