Tom R August 8th, 2003, 06:33 AM I'm putting an easy one up Just to show you the vis this week Tom knives August 9th, 2003, 08:46 PM Is it the Davie? Marvintpa August 10th, 2003, 02:04 PM That would appear to be the Two Butt Wreck by the looks of it. DIZZY August 10th, 2003, 07:54 PM Wow...nice vis. Toby was 30' at best this weekend. Col.Cluster August 11th, 2003, 03:19 PM Marvintpa once bubbled... That would appear to be the Two Butt Wreck by the looks of it. I guess that would be the Big Butt Wreck when you are diving on it. Now you have to guess the Cluster!!!! I hope to see you and Vlada this Sunday. Cheers CC Col.Cluster August 11th, 2003, 03:25 PM Tom Judging by the structure in the background and the obvious talent of the divers, I would have to say that it is one of the barges. What would the depth be? Approximately 240ft to the mud. Perhaps you could now filll us in on the details. Cheers CC In Depth August 11th, 2003, 04:49 PM Trust me, there's not that much ambient light on the barges. Col.Cluster August 11th, 2003, 05:46 PM In Depth once bubbled... Trust me, there's not that much ambient light on the barges. I was thinking that right after I posted. I got the Guess the Wrecks posts mixed up. Cheers CC Tom R August 11th, 2003, 06:04 PM The wreck is drum roll happening .......................................... City of Sheyboyagan starring the scuba guys from Detroit Tom BCS August 11th, 2003, 06:14 PM Tom, Are you sure that's the ScubaGuys?? The ScubaGuys didn't get to carry the camera on that dive and there seems to be something hanging from the waist belt of one of the divers (not happening with the ScubaGuys)...plus the trim is a bit off...I can see the obvious talent there...but just not quite at the level that the ScubaGuys demand of themselves...I have seen these guys work and they are sticklers for these little details...are you sure that wasn't one of those other instructors on the dive....:D ---brando BCS August 11th, 2003, 06:21 PM Now there's the ScubaGuys!! (well at least the good lookin' one!!...;) ) I just can't find a good one of Scot!:D Tom R August 11th, 2003, 06:27 PM Dude, OK its who ever carried the ikelite on that dive Tyler. Bob or Steve . I have other film on the scubaguys somewhere in my files  , maybe it got destroyed I'll have to check my snail mail in the morning looking for a bank certificate of some sort. Just to confirm Tom BCS August 11th, 2003, 06:34 PM Oh...it's destroyed wetman August 11th, 2003, 10:25 PM Speaking of scubaguys, is there ANY WAY we could get that video online of Brandon having his reg yanked out of his mouth and not giving it up? I think the world deserves to see that. I know I'd love to see that again... steve Tom R August 12th, 2003, 05:09 AM I have been informed that the tape is destroyed, I will be confirming this by mail this week :) Tom BCS August 12th, 2003, 07:44 AM Hey!! Yo Steve! What is this? Some kind of conspiracy against the ScubaGuys??...The ScubaGuys are all about "the love" baby!! Don't hate us because we're beautiful (or more aptly, because our trim is beautiful...;))Why can't we all just get along? (Actually I have 5 of the videotapes and they contain some great material on the whole circus!...:wanna:...I was gonna put some of the clips up on our website!! Should be worth a laugh or two for us "clowns"...:jester:..)...That's www.scubaguys.com (http://www.scubaguys.com)...drop by! Tom R August 12th, 2003, 07:50 AM Are you saying not to anticipate a snail mail now? Tom R BCS August 12th, 2003, 08:25 AM We can't just give in to every "Tom, Dick, and Harry" that are out to tarnish the ScubaGuys reputation...it'd be like giving in to the terrorists! Again, where's the love for the ScubaGuys?? Yo Scot, get in here and help out the team! This unprovoked attack and attempted blackmail against your paying customers is not showing you Ontario guys in a good light!...;)...sounds like you need a lesson in good ol' Capitalism...let's see, I have two open weekends coming up here in August...a wallet full of $$...a couple buddies that share my desire to spend both the weekends and the money on some Great Lake Wreck diving...I guess I could be called a potential customer...hmmm...what to do and where to go??....hmmmm...where's the love for the ScubaGuys NOW baby??...I could tell you what a smart Capitalist would do...hmmm...:HAHAHA: Scot August 12th, 2003, 08:32 AM Yeah man, what BCS said. Where's the love Baby. ScubaGuys are all about the love. Oh, and sweet ass trim.:scuba: Tom R August 12th, 2003, 08:50 AM Ohh do I have to double dog dare you to come diving, OK if I must I double dog dare you to come dive and show us the love. Hey you can even see the whole Munson :thumb: this time, it's a great dive. Just watch out for the ice :shark: he's hard to catch on film Tom detroit diver August 12th, 2003, 08:52 AM Ya know, with the Canadian dollar exchange the way it is, I'd love to dive the Kingston area. But those Canucks look mighty unfriendly;) so I'll have to think more about this...... Oh yeah, one other thing. Quit piss*ng off the scubaguys, or my valves tonite will be more off than on! dcostanza August 12th, 2003, 09:01 AM Eventhough this is somewhat belated... and since I haven't seen several of you in the last few weeks...Just wanted to hijack the thread temporarily to publicly congratulate everyone on passing Tech 1. Sounds as if "the rank" was definitely earned, Brandon, Scot, Scott L, Bob O and Jay R... Best Regards Don Tom R August 12th, 2003, 09:18 AM detroit diver once bubbled... I think the brick comment will take care of that;-0 wetman August 12th, 2003, 10:34 AM The fact is, those videos would show that even the superhuman scubaguys are indeed falable. It may bring more of the regular folks to your alter as they realize that indeed you can sympathize with them - they'll realize that you guys are the clown goober monkeys that you truly are down deep (literally and figuratively). steve detroit diver August 12th, 2003, 10:38 AM wetman once bubbled... The Scubaguys? I thought they passed.... wetman August 12th, 2003, 10:55 AM Passing has nothing to do with their social status in that course... We were all some variation on that eloquent wordage at some point in the course. Had to come home to mommy to get some positive reinforcement after that class... "You're beautiful dear.... You're every bit as good as those other mean men... You're special dear..." That class could be a therapists dream. :) Why was it so fun though... this is the question... Oh ya, the video at the end of the day to verify that indeed we were all instigators of our own gooberfest. But you know, I still think the funniest video was the one of brandon. It must be set free. Most of us were in histerical fits of laughter at that one. Damn it was good. steve BCS August 12th, 2003, 11:09 AM We did. Steve sounds bitter. Why so bitter Steve? Life is too short to spend it calling people names on the Internet. Where's the love my man? Steve, I have that video of the reg in the mouth that you are so fond of, I'll try to post it on my website later today especially for you Steve. It was funny, I hope you can have another good laugh.(I don't think it was quite as funny as you're portraying it though...Jack you've seen it...was it really that funny?) For those of you not familiar, here's the scene. I am with my partner on a line (on the bottom), I have no mask (and have been told to keep my eyes closed), I feel a couple of tugs on my reg, I clench a little tighter thinking it is supposed to be a flailing diver trying to accidentily yank my reg out, fact is my partner was given the OOA and wanted to share. Ooops... Funny stuff! I can't beleive that I still passed after that f'up!! Holy smokes!! What was AG thinking?...:)...But look at my trim...still lookin' good baby! wetman August 12th, 2003, 11:15 AM Yes, but the funny part is him yanking and your head shaking in the wind for what seemed like an eternity. This it the part the world should see. Wow there was some good video from that week. steve BCS August 12th, 2003, 11:48 AM Honestly Steve...an eternity??... you can see for yourself, the whole thing lasts all of about 3 or 4 seconds. I'll see if I can get it posted today and why the "world should see it" is beyond me? But they are welcome to view it. Steve, you take care and dive safe...Good luck in your endeavors! Check out the website either later today or tomorrow and you'll be able to see the clip....it'll be posted just for you...:). Tom, thanks for the info and the offer to dive (Col. And no I am not Steve or Steve. I am by far better looking then the two Steve's. Nor am I as well rounded as the two Steve's. One look at the three of us side by side and you would see what I mean. I think what happened in class should stay in the class.... I have to agree. It was your course you should keep it that way. My course and that of others were kept private. On the one hand it is the professional thing to do. On the other, it keeps the pagans guessing and off balance. Cheers CC wetman August 13th, 2003, 09:16 AM Dammit man, give me time! I'm going to assume your rounded comment is pertaining to my social, intellectual and physical status as opposed to my manly physique only :) (and you'll be happy to know i've been back to the gym regularly for the past few months now - even had several comments on my thinning beauty. thanks mom ;) ) Now i'm curious just who you might be as well. And i think the video should also stay private - but that one highlight - damn i found that funny. OH - Bob, maybe theres a reason you want it unexposed... Just thought of that... steve Col.Cluster once bubbled... Dude, BCS could you please post the url for your website. Thanks. And no I am not Steve or Steve. Just thought of that... steve Is there a point you're trying to make here? BCS August 13th, 2003, 10:19 AM Good point...I have to agree with you guys(Bob and CC)...thanks for pointing it out to me before I posted it. I figured since it was my mistake and I was displaying it, that it wasn't amounting to someone trying to ridicule someone else in public because that person made a mistake in a class....why if anyone was doing that, it would most assuredly be viewed as very impolite and unprofessional. You guys are also absolutely correct in that it is very unprofessional to discuss the class's mistakes in public as well. That's why I would never mention anyone's but my own. Certainly bringing up other student's mistakes in order to laugh at and ridicule them is very impolite and unprofessional, even if the person that made the mistake doesn't really mind. I guess it's just courtesy, good manners, and professional conduct that come into play here. I also guess that people that do that kind of stuff are just plain ol' rude...eh? Oh well, sorry Steve. You won't be able to laugh at my mistake. Just use your imagination and laugh....:)...it's funny though, you we're a completely different person in the class than you are on the Net....funny, but I guess you could also say that the Net is (as you put it) a "therapist's dream" as well. Ya know, with the differing personalities.... from the way they are in person to the way the act when they aren't face to face. Oh...and thanks again for dinner and drinks that night!...dive safe y'all!----brando wetman August 13th, 2003, 11:36 AM You know, i never really looked at it as anyone trying to ridicule anyone or for that matter anyone making any mistakes - cause i dont even view them as making mistakes. I just thought it was a funny few seconds snippit if video that shows someone holding on for dear life to something they find rather precious (i.e. their regulator). I personally couldn't care less if anyone sees any part of videos of me - it just doesn't matter to me one bit, as long as they get some joy from it. I just figured thats the way i see it, and others would too. I guess i was wrong. Brandon, you yourself even said it was funny and were about to post it. You even set up the scene nicely... so clearly we shared a similar opinion on this as being a fairly humorous at some point. Actually I have 5 of the videotapes and they contain some great material on the whole circus!......I was gonna put some of the clips up on our website!! Should be worth a laugh or two for us "clowns".....)... When you said that I didnt even flinch - i like the idea personally. I think there were some funny moments and like i said above, i don't care one bit if the whole world sees me - it just doesnt matter to me one bit. Fact is though, likely what i'm remembering as funny, may not be that funny out of context, but those who wish to see it may still get some joy from watching it. I view these courses as fun and in that context I really dont have anything to hide. Clearly others differ on that opinion but thats their prerogative. Oh, and since I now know who Col. Cluster is, this better looking thing may just have to be debated. :) steve Col.Cluster August 13th, 2003, 04:30 PM wetman once bubbled... Oh, and since I now know who Col.
