I am looking for a High-end, liveaboard that departs from Sharm. I'm not interested in wrecks, just the big fish. What do you recomend?

Not sure if you're going to see many big fish from a boat leaving from Sharm, but if you leave from Hurghada or Marsa Alam, get a boat that takes in 'Brothers', 'Daedelus' and 'St Johns' reefs.

Apparently you occasionally see sharks at Ras Mohammed. You can get a day-trip from Sharm to this location but I didn't see anything special on my single dive there.

I think you may be disappointed Tovster.

The southern safaris have a good chance of seeing big fish, but they don't really turn up on schedule. We have, for example, at least 5 whale sharks in the area around sharm, but only a small handful of my colleagues have seen one. The last two southern safaris from my dive centre saw a total of no sharks at all.

Having said that, the weather is getting warmer and the big stuff is coming back - but no safari boat - top class or not, can guarantee you big fish.

Cheers

C.
