Just wondering what level/type of certification this board is composed of.

We have some of everthing here. There's everything from new divers to guys like leading inovators in the diving and well known explorers. You might need an all of the above spot.

Any known diving legends/pionneers (and not self proclaimed legends) on this board?

I don't know what constitutes a legend but there are certainly pioneers. BRW is one.

I'm Advanced Open Water itching to do my rescue and DM but holdig off until I am completely ready to do it as I want the maximum benefit from both and to know that once rescue qualified I am rescue capable

I have no interest in becoming an instructor though, although never say never!

We do have a few, but they have chosen to remain "anonymous" for various reasons.

So unless they report in, that's all I (or the other mods) can say.

Got the NAUI OW, dove for a few years, and then finally got around to NAUI AOW, which was fun. In the interim, I took "Equipment Specialist" and rescue training. And read a lot.

This fall I want to take DAN O2 Provider, and then in the spring I will begin NAUI Master. Also want to take NITROX course.

The way I see it, the more education, the better.

My one and only certification I got from the YMCA in 1970 and have hundreds of dives behind me both sport and light commercial. You all can decide what level of training I have.

Myself. But with all my modesty, I remain low profile about it. :D
