Is Oxycheq backplate relatively Flat on its bent angel?

I am looking for a relatively flat backplate for single tank use.
DSS has plates appear flat. How does Oxycheq compare?

They are constructed much like Halcyon's with a slightly concave design utilizing a STA and allowing the usage of a storage pack. Their website seems to be in a state of repair. Checkout Golem Gear's site for pics...

I have both DSS and Oxycheq, and Oxycheq has much more of a bend angle, so you probably want the DSS plate.

I will also tell you that the DSS plate is very well made, and the plastic inserts that are molded into the web slots hold the harness webbing very well without the need for tri-glides.

Neither plate needs the STA if you use a wing with guides for the tank.

Be aware that the wing is trapped in the V-shaped wedge between the plate and the tank, and it can expand more, and produce more lift, if the plate has a larger bend. For this reason, manufacturers size their wing to fit their own plate, and a 30 pound Oxycheq wing will give less than 30lbs of lift when it is mounted to a DSS plate because it can't expand as much.

I own 3 plates; a Halcyon, an Oxycheq, and one of FredT's that I bought from Fred on this board.

Of those 3, the Oxycheq is the flattest (in terms of bend angles).

If Mike says the DSS plate is even flatter than the Oxycheq, I'd agree that's likely your best bet.
