Does anyone know of a hardware store in Ottawa that sells O rings in bulk?

Try Schooner Industrial on Bentley. I have bought them there before. You need to assure that you get the right diameter though. Most are either 70 or 90. depending on where they go in your kit.

Can't remember the specs. It's a standard O ring for an 80 cubic ft aluminum cylinder.

O Rings... well, you'll have better luck defining a "standard" by talking about the valve rather than the tank. Different manufacturers do tend to use standard sizes for the valves they produce; however, this standard may vary from manufactuer to manufacturer.

Best practice is to take the O Ring in question (making sure all your tanks use the same size) to the O Ring supplier and doing an on-site inspection... otherwise you may end up with a bunch of orings that almost fit!

There are many o-ring suppliers online. If you get them from the states, make sure you dont use UPS to ship - the charges they add make oring purchases not necessarily worth it from the states. But if they ship standard usps then its not too bad.

http://www.allorings.com/

are 3 places of many you can get them.

allorings.com has a cheap oring kit that is a decent start as well for 10 bux - great price and contains most of the orings you'd need for a standard kit (there are a few more you'd need to get but it is close).

Find your numbers for the oring and do searches at any online place and you're good to go. Oh - one thing - Mcmaster has fantastic delivery times.

I bought a kit at princess auto - 250 assorted O rings in a very nice little organizer for under $10.
