Tusa element ii (iq-750)...anyone???!!!

So, I recently purchased the TUSA IQ-750...blindly. I got a really good price for it, and at the outset it looked like a decent computer for the price I paid.

However, I cannot find ANY reviews or performance comments for this product ANYWHERE. It's as if almost no one owns it. Does anyone have any feedback on this computer?

Also, I have some questions about the decompression dive functions of this model (which I will be posting on the Manufacturers Forum/TUSA once I read through the manual a few more times).

If this is the one I'm thinking about I believe this is the same computer as the Dive Rite Duo and one other. They are all made by the same manufacturer and marketed by three different companies under different names. You might try doing a search on the other companies, you might find more people with those brands.

I have a Duo and I like it, although I've found it to be a bit conservative.

I believe you are thinking of the TUSA IQ-700, which is the same as the NiTek DUO, Zeagle N2ition, Cressi Archimede I, and APEKS Quantum,etc...ALL of which are made by Seiko. Actually, that is the one I wanted to buy, but TUSA no longer sells the IQ-700 ever since the new IQ-750 came out earlier this year...

So my dealer gave me the IQ-750 for the same price, which was about $150 discount. However, I still can't find ANY info on it.

Ah yes. I knew 750 didn't sound quite right. It is the 700 I was thinking about.

one of the things that persuaded me NOT to get the IQ-750 was that it only logged 12 dives in memory (I'd have to look that number up to verify).

I kinda thought that was "backwards of advancement" in dive computer technology as 10 years ago that's all the logged, but now days they log 50 plus.

There is at least one shop out there doing a "bait and switch" offering the IQ-700 for $249 and then when you order, they say it's out of stock (and has been for over 6 months) and offer you the IQ-750 for the same price. Sneaky way to get a computer sell. Not that there's anything wrong with it.... the consumer benefits from a lower price.
