I almost feel like I am going to get hunted down for asking but, I keep hearing of a list of rules.

I know, I know. If I have to ask...( I do not remember them being covered in my online UTD class).

I am familiar with #1: No diving with strokes.

Where can I find a list to reference and improve my diving?

#2: Don't listen to strokes.

#6: Always look cool.

I don't know the rest. Not sure they ever existed. I think the #6 is based off of cave diving accident analysis' 5 rules rather than GI3's list.

wonder how long this thread is going to go before i need to moderate it...

Also:

Rule No. 1: Don't dive with strokes.
Rule No. 2: Don't listen to strokes.
Rule No. 3: There is nothing underwater worth dying for.
Rule No. 4: Always analyze your gas.
Rule No. 5: Don't dive a rebreather unless you really need it.
Rule No. 6: Always look cool.

Option No. 1: Don't dive.

Looks like the question is answered now, you can close it.

These things are funny to look back and read, but I don't really think they're an issue in today's diving world.

Rule 1: Dive with anyone who wants to improve.
Rule 6: Look good, dive good.*

* Apparently many, if not all, GUE and UTD instructors I've met fail to recognize the validity of Rule 6 and instead focus on odd-ball concepts like buoyancy, trim, and propulsion.

Probably because most passed elementary English grammar?

Once while out on a boat some guy who was wearing black (he said he was DIR) called me a stroke. It made me sad. I hate DIR divers.

I threw an OOA on Adolf Hitler one time from behind and above him and he couldn't donate to me. The long hose is useless.
