I'm going to be visiting family in Cape Breton in late September. Are there any charters still going out that late in the season? Are diving conditions still good at that time? Any recommendations?

Charters are hard to come by in CB, but there are folks regularly doing shore dives and the diving would be great that time of year. There is a Yahoo group you should join and post there;

The nicest shore spot I've found is the barge wreck at Grand Narrows.. but you do want to buddy up with someone local as the current can be wicked, dives must be timed with slack tide. The marine life is fantastic there, the wreck is completely covered;

The Arrow (off Arichat) is a great wreck to get on if you can find someone going out. There are some historical wrecks off Louisbourg as well.
