I just completed a Nautical Archaeology Society class in Foreshore and Underwater Archaeology. Our field exercise was an old landing craft that was put ashore in the 1964 earthquake. In the intervening years, the forest grew up around it. Pretty interesting course. Thanks to NOAA and the Department of Natural Resources for putting it on. The three day course was held in Anchorage.

That sounds really interesing, where abouts is this located?
